An Update on Direction

Hey everybody! It’s 2018, and that means you have all been slammed in the face with endless blog posts about gift guides, new year resolutions, and life goals. Don’t worry, this isn’t another one of those posts.

Well, it is. Sort of.

I have spent the past few days updating my website (playing with new themes is honestly so fun???? Let me know what you think!) and deciding on how to be as proactive as possible about my future. You know, that terrifying thing breathing down my neck as graduation is FINALLY appearing on the horizon.

I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about what to do with my life, and my grand conclusion is that I have no idea! And that’s the scariest part of all of this for me. I don’t do well without structure — but the cool thing about life that I have learned in 2017 is that nobody else really knows what they’re doing, either. We’re all just sort of winging it, and that’s okay, because life is about learning and adapting and accepting the changes that come our way. After all, those changes are the ones that shape the future you and me into (hopefully) better, stronger, healthier people than we are today. No experience, positive or negative, is ever a wasted one if we can take something from it to help us grow.

behold1Writing is something that I have always loved, and yet never spent much time doing. Working with Behold. Her has showed me that I’m pretty okay at it sometimes and that felt really good. Writing posts for them and having positive feedback was really empowering because this is a thing I’ve always been too scared to pursue.

So allllllll that being said, you all are going to be getting a lot more updates like this one in the future! I’m going to be posting more of my writing on here and I hope to interact with you all a lot more.

behold2If you’ve actually read through all of that and want to see a little bit more of what I do at Behold. Her — which you should because it is a super dope organization and everybody should know about it — check out my blog posts for them here and here or just click on the photos!
